📨 Report It¶
The golden rule: if something feels off, speak up.
Scammers rely on silence and embarrassment — the faster you tell someone, the less damage they can do.
🚨 If you’ve been scammed¶
-
Stop contact immediately.
Block their number, email, or account. -
Contact your bank or card provider.
Tell them it’s a scam — they can freeze transactions or recover funds. -
Change your passwords.
Especially for any accounts that used the same login or email. -
Turn on MFA (if not already).
It locks scammers out if they try again later. -
Keep evidence.
Screenshots, messages, receipts — these help investigators.

Flagged tip
You don’t need to write an essay — even a short report helps stop the next person being tricked.
🧑🤝🧑 If someone you know is caught¶
Be kind.
People of every age, job, and IQ have been fooled by scams.
Instead of blame, focus on helping them report quickly.
📣 Talk about it¶
Sharing your experience might feel embarrassing — but it normalises awareness.
If one mate avoids a scam because you spoke up, that’s a win.
The more we talk, the fewer we lose.
