📨 Report It

The golden rule: if something feels off, speak up.
Scammers rely on silence and embarrassment — the faster you tell someone, the less damage they can do.

🚨 If you’ve been scammed

  1. Stop contact immediately.
Block their number, email, or account.

  2. Contact your bank or card provider.
Tell them it’s a scam — they can freeze transactions or recover funds.

  3. Change your passwords.
Especially for any accounts that used the same login or email.

  4. Turn on MFA (if not already).
It locks scammers out if they try again later.

  5. Keep evidence.
Screenshots, messages, receipts — these help investigators.

Flagged tip

You don’t need to write an essay — even a short report helps stop the next person being tricked.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 If someone you know is caught

Be kind.
People of every age, job, and IQ have been fooled by scams.
Instead of blame, focus on helping them report quickly.

📣 Talk about it

Sharing your experience might feel embarrassing — but it normalises awareness.
If one mate avoids a scam because you spoke up, that’s a win.

The more we talk, the fewer we lose.
